Well, since the tutorials page came rolling out, we decided to make a recommendations page, full with AppStore and Cydia suggestions, as well as sources. We will continue to post more as time goes by!
If you would like to see your app reviewed by us, please email Requests@ipwnage.com. Hey who knows, if it’s good enough, we might even post it on our Recommendations page!
Loved gpSPhone until Mr. Z started requiring donations. We just think that a required donation isn’t fair. So, alas, we present you Kieran; on how to achieve gpSPhone for free.
Really?! ZOMG, NO WAI
Yes, way, we are. If you are interested, please email us at jobs@ipwnage.com
We are currently looking for people who are in the field of :
- Writers (About anything [iPhone])
- Critics
- Reviewers (Same thing as critics, dontch’a think?)
- Reporters (News)
- Moderators (Sorry, place taken)
- Designers (For Advertisements, spreading the word)
(EDIT- Louie Sulcer, a 71 year old man, was the one, whom, at the opportune time, downloaded the 10th Billion Song) Isn’t that something?

Ah. Yes. I do hope you followed Chris’s advice on buying songs right before the counter hit 10 billion. Apple hasn’t released who won yet, although soon as they do, we’ll update the post. I continued scrolling down only to see the top 20 songs purchased ALL TIME. It kinda’ made me freak, because; for some odd reason, Miley Cyrus was there. Her song “Party in the U.S.A” was labeled the 20th most bought song since iTunes debuted. Here are the top 20 songs sold.

Yeah. That’s what we said.
Well, we’ve been slacking, we know. But, we finally finished the How-To segment. From How-to Jailbreak, to How-to download a package, we have it all!
So check it out!
(WE HAVE A 3.1.3 JAILBREAK FOR YOU! CLICK HERE!)
(Our source is also done too! Just read the upper left widget to find out more!)
This is just a quick post to get the word out.
Since the iTunes store debut (in 2001), songs have been the main focus. But since the App Store opened, they have been selling like hotcakes on the National Pancake Day. You all remember the billionth download, right? Of course you do. Well, now Apple is doing the same sort of thing only for songs. The prize? A $10,000 iTunes Gift Card!!! So what should you do? Well, watch the ticker, refresh every 5 minutes or so and once the ticker hits the last 100,000… BUY! BUY SONGS LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW!!! And if you are like Steven, there IS a free song of the week if you are feeling lucky.
UPDATE: Apple has aded a live ticker to their site. And if this ticker is the actual count, and not just an animation, Apple is selling about 100 songs a second! I will try my hardest to get a Javascript plugin of the ticker here on iPwnAge
Traditionally, when you clicked an iTunes link, you would get a message that looks like this:
But now, when you click that link, you will be taken straight to what is called iTunes Preview: An in-browser preview of the app/song you are looking to download.
If you are ready to make your purchase, just click ‘Open in iTunes’, iTunes will instantly open straight to the app/song you were viewing in your browser and you can then download it! Extremely helpful if you are thinking about buying an app, but then change your mind after reading the reviews. Traditionally, you would have to close iTunes, and reopen your browser and figure out where you left off. Now, with iTunes Preview, all you have to do is click Back.
Try iTunes Preview for Apps for yourself!

This post ALMOST confirms the release of the Verizon iPhone. I know I’m happy about this and I know DAVID sure is, so he can throw his Droid at a wall and sprint (I mean Verizon) on over to the 5th Avenue Apple store and buy this fresh piece of… Apple.
Verizon has stated that “Wednesday is a big day”. They will also be holding a “kick off” event (not uncommon, they do it at the beginning at every quarter) but this event just so happens to lie on the same day as a “certain product announcement”. Plus, if you still aren’t convinced, Verizon will be watching a live webcast, no specifics.
Chris’ Clearing It Up Corner:
-Wednesday is the day of the Verizon quarterly event and the Apple Keynote address.
-The Apple Keynotes are recorded on video for their podcast but they also broadcast them live on some occasions.
DAVID’s Buzz-kill Corner:
-They are neither confirming nor denying that this could be the tablet.
Edit: What a let-down
