This week’s theme review is our very own, iPwnAge’s O.L.E.D. theme! As a matter of fact, I am extremely glad that I am reviewing this wonderful theme, thanks to our very own Chris.
O.L.E.D. is a nature based theme, the backgrounds of the Springboard changing continously in a matter of seconds. Although O.L.E.D. is a new theme, it is developing and will be better than ever. The backgrounds of each icon bring freshness, of the bright and sunny colors. I highly recommend this theme, and it is not hard to find!
In order to get O.L.E.D. , you must have our new and updated source – http://repo.ipwnage.com. Then, go to “sections,” and scroll down to the iPwnAge application and O.L.E.D. will be there! Here, are some images of the great O.L.E.D. :

Notice how the backgrounds change!

This week’s theme is a special theme, almost as special as last week’s iBox Carbon. Glasklart is an amazing theme, not only does it have a Springboard design, but it is a package that
comes with wallpapers, a variety of icons for each application, alternate arrow slider (meaning the words “slide to unlock” do not appear when hitting the sleep/wake button), and even a dock flow!
Many quirky aspects of Glasklart include an invisible background for the icons, midnight blue bubbles for text-messaging, and many more.

With Glasklart, the wallpaper for the Springboard is not necessary, as a matter of fact, I highly recommend that if you install Glasklart, you apply “transparent dock,” and your own wallpaper (any image) to the Springboard by applying “user wallpaper.” This is because, since the icons are transparent, you can have a better view of your wallpaper. Though, Glasklart does not support all of your icons with a design, it covers most of them and it is extremely appealing.

If not, Glasklart is definitely in my top 3 of favorite themes of all theme. Maybe as good or even the same as iBox Carbon.

Here are some images I would like to compare for you.

This is what I recommend by using your wallpaper as your Springboard background which looks A LOT better in my opinion than this:

When I first jailbroke my iPhone several years back, I wanted my phone to be “pimped” out and there were tons and tons of Winterboard themes to choose from. I’ve reviewed many themes before such as Alit and Southpark, however, iBox Carbon is the one I’ll stay with for a long time. You might be muttering, “This guy is stupid. He said Alit and Southpark were the best themes ever to be created and here he goes with another outrageous thought.” Think again! Anyways, here are just a few reasons I believe iBox is amazing.

First and foremost, each and every app you download/install has a silver/gray trimming that makes it very classical and unique. This makes the springboard very catchy to the eye and bright.
Secondly, iBox has it’s own lockscreen. Nothing special, just a gray background. However, there’s not an ordinary “slide to unlock” on the bottom of the screen. There’s a “tap to unlock” which I find very convenient. Thirdly, when you click on any icon; it pauses and a screen that says the icon you just clicked shows up. For example, if I clicked messaging, a screen where it says “messaging” would simply appear. The message bubble while texting is dark blue and gray. Fourthly, the AT&T bars change color when you go into different apps which is very appealing to the eye. Fifthly, in Safari, the toolbar on the bottom has an intricate black coloring and gray on the browsing toolbar.

Anyways, enough of me ranting about the pros of iBox Carbon. The biggest con of this theme is that it takes A LOT of your battery because iBox not only gives you a springboard theme but the whole nine-yard. But if you don’t care about your battery and more if your iPhone being “pimped” out, who cares? Here are some images.

This weeks theme review is going to be “Alit.” What an awkward name, I honestly have no clue what Alit means, whatsoever. This theme is amazing, and is so unique. When you download Alit, it’s not only an ordinary background, though, it has features such as a lockscreen, LCD LiveClock, LCD LiveClock 24H that comes with the theme when you install it. Once you activate Alit on your Winterboard, you will see that your lockscreen is mostly gray, and the “Slide to Unlock” is now a big blue dab with a small white arrow. The icons are boxy-like, and have an elaborate color to each icon; not to mention, the designs look so creative. For example, my app Cycorder has this big red dot on the right hand corner, and it looks like it’s actually video recording me…scary, much!
This is what it looks like:

Have you ever been stumped on picking a Winterboard theme? Too many choices to choose? Well, here’s a really good one; Iceman Southpark.

It offers a variety of wonderful things such as the bright and appealing colors, a very unique style, and the characters on the dock are very intricate. Also, Iceman Southpark gives you a good mood, and if you’re a fan of Southpark, this theme will certainly, not dissapoint you. However, what this theme lacks, is that it does not have audio, and gets boring after a while. Nevertheless, if you’re searching for a theme that’ll satisfy you, listen to me and go with Iceman South Park!
